It is that time of year again when the streets of Newquay are lit up by the fabulous lanterns which have been made from local school children and organisations and last year the atmosphere was fantastic!
The parade begins from Cliff Road heading down towards Fore Street at 6:30pm where they stop at 7pm at the bottom of Marcus Hill for the live light switch on. Carols will be sung and the Christmas tree will be blessed to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Then down at the Newquay Harbour from 8pm the sky will be lit up with a spectacular fireworks display to end the days festive celebrations.
Also tonight for one night only many of the shops across the town will be open until 8:30pm – a perfect chance to stock up on stocking fillers whilst surrounded by festive cheer!
